Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout counter.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accountability for the cash drawer.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Monitor for fraud or suspicious activity and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Cross-train in front-of-house operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
