Responsibilities
- Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately using POS systems
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Scan and bag merchandise efficiently while maintaining organized checkout stations
- Assist with inventory management, stocking shelves, and price verification
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when needed
- Adhere to store security procedures and cash handling protocols
- Support team members with stocking and store maintenance during downtime
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 6 months cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash transactions
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills and approachable, customer-focused attitude
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
