Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Ring up sales accurately using the POS system and handle various payment methods, including cash, credit, and digital wallets.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Cash Management: Accurately count cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, balance daily transactions, and maintain security protocols.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags, receipt paper, and promotional materials.
- Assistance: Support the store team with inventory stocking, price changes, and customer returns as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle money accurately.
- Availability: Ability to work part-time hours (20-30 hours per week).
