Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag groceries efficiently and assist with carryout services for elderly/disabled customers
- Stock checkout areas with supplies and maintain clean, organized workstations
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly and escalate complex issues to management
- Support inventory tasks and price verification as needed
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional customer service orientation with strong communication skills
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash/credit transactions
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
