Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm smile and ensure a welcoming shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, processing payments accurately and securely.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and adherence to security protocols.
- Bag groceries and assist with curbside pickup orders with care and speed.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in retail or cash handling is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with touch-screen technology.
