Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash, credit, and gift cards.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stocking shelves, checking inventory levels, and organizing the sales floor to maintain visual standards.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area and restrooms clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout your shift.
- Financial Accuracy: Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Skills: Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
