Responsibilities
- Process cash, card, and mobile payments accurately using state-of-the-art POS systems
- Deliver exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Maintain organized checkout areas and assist with store stocking/merchandising
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies to management
- Support inventory management through cycle counts and stock rotation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and store operational standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 6+ months cash handling or customer service experience
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to learn POS systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including weekends and holiday seasons
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
- NYC food handler certification preferred (training provided if needed)
