Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Greet all customers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance with their inquiries.
- Bag groceries and assist with carry-out services to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Monitor the checkout area for cleanliness and restock supplies (bags, receipt paper) as needed.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints with patience and problem-solving skills.
- Cross-train in other areas of the store, including stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
