Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer integrity
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag groceries efficiently and assist with carryout services for elderly/disabled customers
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock discrepancies to department leads
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas including sanitation standards
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management promptly
- Support store operations through price checks and shelf stocking as needed
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash/credit transactions
- Strong communication skills with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (flexible scheduling available)
