Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer transactions using POS systems while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service through friendly greetings and assistance with product inquiries
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restocking supplies as needed
- Scan, bag, and package merchandise with attention to customer preferences
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Assist with inventory management and price verification tasks
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with company standards
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Reliable transportation and consistent availability for weekend/evening shifts
