Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs immediately.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process payments accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Bag groceries carefully and assist with heavy items as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the store.
