Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer purchases.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and assist them with finding products to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bag merchandise securely and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Assist with inventory stocking, price changes, and restocking shelves during slower periods.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy and handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a healthy environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not strictly required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to count change quickly and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable access to a vehicle for commuting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
