Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing various payment types (cash, credit, debit).
- Handle cash transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering general inquiries about store policies and services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor environment.
- Restock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure product availability.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cash handling is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems or willingness to learn.
