Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly smile and professional demeanor.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments while maintaining strict accuracy and balancing the register.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Assist with bagging purchases and ensuring customer carry-out is handled safely.
- Resolve minor customer complaints or issues with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash with precision.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
