Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet every customer with a warm, professional demeanor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Assist customers with locating products within the store.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and sales floor.
- Bag groceries and handle merchandise with care to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required for the right candidates.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
