Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring all drawers are balanced at the end of every shift.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items within the store, and provide accurate information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout area and store floor.
- Process returns, exchanges, and manage gift cards or loyalty program activations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
