Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, processing payments via cash, credit, and debit.
- Greet customers warmly and proactively assist with inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions with strict adherence to company security policies and accountability standards.
- Bag merchandise neatly and efficiently, ensuring order and presentation at the checkout counter.
- Stock shelves and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout your shift.
- Assist with inventory management and price checks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
