Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and efficient checkout
- Bag groceries and assist with carryout services for elderly/disabled customers
- Operate price scanners, handle returns/exchanges per company policy
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and restock supplies
- Assist with inventory counts and price verification tasks
- Support merchandising team during peak hours as needed
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash transactions
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Availability for weekday shifts (mornings/afternoons)
- Reliable transportation to our Indianapolis locations
- Background check required for employment
