Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service from start to finish.
- Process various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and digital wallets.
- Bag groceries or handle merchandise with care and efficiency to minimize damage.
- Maintain a tidy checkout area and assist in restocking shelves as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any checkout issues with a positive attitude.
- Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid government-issued ID and ability to pass a background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
