Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash transactions, including making change and processing credit/debit cards.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing the sales floor, and maintaining a clean and tidy store environment.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and in a timely manner.
- Cash out the register at the end of the shift and prepare daily deposits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and accuracy with numbers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Proficiency with computer systems and POS hardware.
