Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies and security protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Manage inventory counts and restock shelves as required during opening or closing procedures.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and positive shopping experience for everyone.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with computer systems are required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Reliable transportation is a plus.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus, but training is provided for the right candidates.
