Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately to process cash, debit, credit, and gift card transactions.
- Handle cash and currency with extreme accuracy and accountability.
- Bag groceries and prepare orders for pickup or delivery.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding store hours, products, and pricing.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels on the sales floor when not at the register.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous cash handling and retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
