As a Cashier, you are the face of our brand. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience while maintaining accurate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with finding products or answering inquiries.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently, processing cash, credit, and check payments.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges with a focus on service recovery and satisfaction.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with inventory management, including scanning shelf labels and organizing stockrooms.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding loss prevention and cash handling security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred.
