Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive checkout experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Handle cash drawers with precision, ensuring all balances are correct at the end of each shift.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and help locate items on the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly.
- Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
