Responsibilities
- Process customer payments accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer integrity
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and efficient checkout assistance
- Bag groceries carefully and assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles
- Scan and merchandise products while maintaining organized, well-stocked checkout lanes
- Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and loss prevention protocols
- Participate in inventory counts and store maintenance as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail with cash handling
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
