Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance at the checkout counter.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Bag groceries and assist with carry-out services when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and fast checkout process during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required (we provide training).
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a consistent attendance record.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
