Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide assistance throughout their shopping journey.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit/debit card transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing the sales floor as needed.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and polite manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous retail or cash handling experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
