Responsibilities
- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Greet customers warmly and provide product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area at all times.
- Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring customer orders are ready promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail, cashier, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
