Responsibilities
- Ring Up Sales: Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, accurately processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and organize merchandise to maintain a neat and inviting store environment.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area and sales floor clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Payment Handling: Safely handle cash, make accurate change, and reconcile daily deposits.
- Problem Solving: Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints professionally and in accordance with company policy.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and lift up to 25 lbs.
