Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide friendly, efficient service through greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues
- Operate scanning equipment, process returns/exchanges, and handle payment methods (cash, cards, mobile)
- Maintain organized checkout areas, price products, and assist with stocking shelves as needed
- Uphold store standards through cleanliness checks, safety compliance, and loss prevention protocols
- Collaborate with sales associates to support store operations during peak hours
- Participate in inventory management and merchandising initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required – we provide comprehensive training!
- Strong numerical accuracy and ability to handle cash confidently
- Exceptional communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
