Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag groceries with care and assist with carryout services upon request
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and restock supplies as needed
- Operate price scanners and resolve pricing discrepancies promptly
- Assist with inventory management and store merchandising tasks
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (including Sundays)
- Basic proficiency with POS technology and digital payment systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Massachusetts Food Handler's certification (training provided)
