Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer integrity
- Provide outstanding customer service through friendly greetings, product knowledge, and issue resolution
- Scan, bag, and organize merchandise with attention to detail and speed
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and assist with store stocking as needed
- Handle returns/exchanges per company policies with professionalism
- Operate debit/credit card machines and mobile payment systems
- Report inventory discrepancies and maintenance issues to management
Qualifications
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required
- Strong math aptitude and comfort handling cash/financial transactions
- Exceptional communication skills and approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable with consistent punctuality and attendance
- Basic computer literacy and quick learning of POS systems
