Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering product inquiries, and resolving issues
- Bag groceries efficiently and assist with carryout services for elderly or disabled customers
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock supplies, and follow sanitation protocols
- Support inventory management through price checks, stock rotation, and inventory counts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
