Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer transactions using POS systems while maintaining accuracy
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to assist customers with product inquiries
- Bag groceries safely and efficiently while offering carryout assistance
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and store standards
- Support inventory management through stock rotation and shelf-stocking
- Handle cash, coupons, and payment methods securely per company policy
- Resolve customer concerns promptly with a positive attitude
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong math skills and comfort handling cash transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn POS systems
