Responsibilities
- Greet and Assist: Warmly welcome customers upon arrival, answer questions, and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Process customer transactions efficiently, accurately handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Register Management: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring all supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.) are stocked.
- Customer Support: Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve any customer inquiries or complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Merchandising Support: Assist with inventory counts, stocking shelves, and keeping the sales floor organized and visually appealing.
- Cash Handling: Ensure accurate cash drawer counts at the start and end of every shift, adhering to all company security policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but we are happy to train the right candidates.
- Skills: Basic math skills with high accuracy; strong attention to detail.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
