Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with speed and accuracy, handling cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a memorable shopping experience.
- Bag merchandise efficiently, ensuring all items are secure and customers are satisfied.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to the appropriate sections of the store.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Process returns and exchanges while adhering to company policies and security guidelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team to maintain store appearance and inventory standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle financial transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
