Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer transactions using POS systems while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service through friendly greetings, product knowledge, and issue resolution
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including restocking supplies and managing conveyor belts
- Assist with inventory management, including price checks and stock rotation
- Support store operations by bagging groceries, returning merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Adhere to all safety protocols and loss prevention procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail for cash handling
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn POS systems
