Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems
- Assist with product returns and exchanges per company policy
- Operate cash registers, handle cash, and manage payment methods
- Bag merchandise efficiently and provide carryout assistance
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and shelves
- Answer product inquiries and direct customers to appropriate departments
- Support inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash/transactions
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability to work weekends and evenings (15-25 hrs/week)
- Reliable transportation to our Oakland location
