Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist them with any inquiries regarding products or pricing.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict adherence to security and accuracy protocols.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies at all times.
- Assist with bagging items, reducing wait times and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the front-end team to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail sales environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual attendance record.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
