Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, pour-overs, and specialty beverages according to recipe standards
- Provide exceptional customer service with product knowledge recommendations
- Maintain clean and organized workspace including espresso machines, grinders, and service areas
- Process cash and digital payments accurately while handling POS systems
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of coffee, syrups, and supplies
- Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration
- Adhere to all food safety protocols and health department regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of barista experience in a high-volume coffee shop
- Proficiency in espresso extraction techniques and milk steaming
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including weekends and early morning shifts
- Basic knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
