Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with resource navigation, catalog searches, and digital literacy support
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, renewals, and fines processing
- Organize and maintain library collections, shelving materials, and creating displays
- Conduct engaging children's programming and community outreach events
- Support technology troubleshooting for public computers and printing systems
- Collaborate on collection development and inventory management projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; library science coursework preferred
- 6+ months customer service experience with conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Evergreen)
- Basic knowledge of Dewey Decimal System and cataloging principles
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Clear background check and fingerprinting required
- Spanish bilingual fluency highly desirable
