Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with locating physical and digital resources using the library catalog and assistive technology.
- Perform circulation duties including check-in, check-out, shelving, and shelf-reading to maintain collection accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve routine inquiries at the front desk and reference desk.
- Process new library materials, including labeling, stamping, and preparing items for the collection.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of public areas, stacks, and workspaces.
- Support the implementation of library programs, events, and workshops.
- Assist with inter-library loan processes and the management of library databases.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associateās degree in Library Science or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or library operations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating web-based systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (lifting up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable attendance and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
