Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with library services, including check-in/out, account management, and resource navigation
- Shelve materials and maintain orderly collections using Dewey Decimal System
- Support digital literacy by helping patrons use computers, printers, and online databases
- Process new acquisitions and manage inventory circulation systems
- Facilitate community programs and assist with event coordination
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment for all library visitors
- Maintain accurate records and reports for departmental operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Excellent communication skills and approachable demeanor
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies
