Responsibilities

  • Circulation Management: Check materials in and out, manage fines, and process interlibrary loans efficiently.
  • Patron Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, helping patrons find materials, and guiding them through library technology.
  • Shelving and Organization: Sort, shelf-read, and organize returned items to ensure the collection is accessible and in proper order.

Qualifications

  • Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and comfort using library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Evergreen) is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs, and push book carts.
