Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, renewals, and account management
- Assist patrons with locating materials, digital resources, and research inquiries
- Process new acquisitions, cataloging, and shelving of library materials
- Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate records of library assets
- Support technology assistance for patrons using public computers and digital platforms
- Coordinate and facilitate community programs, workshops, and events
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming library spaces
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; library science certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or library environment
- Proficiency with library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic knowledge of library classification systems (Dewey Decimal)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
