Responsibilities
- Manage daily circulation operations including check-ins, check-outs, and renewals using the ILS system
- Provide expert reference assistance to patrons of all ages using digital and print resources
- Organize and maintain library collections through accurate cataloging and shelving
- Develop and implement engaging community programs and outreach initiatives
- Assist with technology support including public computer access and digital literacy training
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and collection development
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills with ability to serve diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of cataloging principles (AACR2/RDA preferred)
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and navigate multi-level library facilities
- Valid Michigan driver's license with reliable transportation
