Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and seasonal specialties
- Train and mentor new baristas on brewing techniques and customer service
- Manage inventory, ordering, and equipment maintenance
- Develop innovative seasonal drink menus
- Ensure exceptional cleanliness and safety standards
- Process POS transactions accurately
- Build rapport with regular customers and community partners
Qualifications
- 2+ years professional barista experience required
- ServSafe Food Handler certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of coffee origins, roasting, and extraction
- Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
- Strong leadership and training abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
- Basic cash handling experience
- Local Durham/North Carolina residency preferred
