Responsibilities
- Execute espresso extraction and specialty brewing techniques with precision
- Train and mentor junior baristas on coffee fundamentals and service standards
- Develop seasonal drink menus and conduct flavor profiling sessions
- Manage inventory controls and maintain impeccable sanitation protocols
- Resolve customer inquiries with creative solutions and genuine enthusiasm
- Collaborate with kitchen team on food-coffee pairings
- Contribute to weekly staff meetings with innovation ideas
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional barista experience with latte art certification
- Advanced knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and brewing variables
- Proven ability to multitask during peak service hours (50+ orders/hour)
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Experience with POS systems like Square or Toast
- Strong conflict resolution skills with diverse clientele
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Portfolio showcasing latte art and beverage innovation
