Responsibilities
- Load and unload merchandise: Safely handle freight from delivery trucks and transport it to storage areas.
- Packing and Shipping: Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring packages are correctly labeled and sealed.
- Inventory Control: Assist in stock-taking and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep aisles organized and the workspace clean to meet safety standards.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks to move heavy materials.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage and ensure all items meet quality specifications before shipping.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
- Basic Math: Strong aptitude for basic arithmetic and attention to detail.
- Equipment Skills: Valid Forklift Operator License (Preferred) or willingness to obtain certification.
