Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer integrity
- Deliver exceptional customer service through product knowledge and problem resolution
- Upsell premium products and loyalty programs to maximize revenue
- Operate self-checkout stations and assist with inventory management
- Train junior staff on POS operations and customer engagement techniques
- Resolve customer complaints with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and store standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cashier or retail experience with cash handling expertise
- Proficiency in modern POS systems (e.g., Square, Shopify POS)
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proven upselling and customer retention skills
- Basic inventory management experience preferred
